Message from Director Helena Teede: Federal Government commits funding to Monash Partners
It is with great enthusiasm that we announce a significant commitment of federal government funds to Monash Partners. After working closely with government for the past six months, Minister Greg Hunt has announced that the national Alliance of Advanced Health Research Translation Centres and Centres for Innovation in Regional Health (AHRA) has been awarded $218M in funding for Rapid Applied Research Translation over the next ten years. This will translate to more than $20M for Monash Partners.
This funding and long-term investment represents a major endorsement of the Translational Research Centres and our leading role in applied research and translation for health impact. The funding will support collaboration and our efforts toward enhancing integration across healthcare, research and education.
Thank you for your ongoing partnership, commitment to and engagement with Monash Partners. I am especially grateful to our Executive for their support. Angela Jones, myself and the Monash Partners team look forward to continuing on our journey to deliver better health through research.
Professor Helena Teede
