Cancer Network – Join the Victorian COVID-19 Cancer Network

The Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre Alliance and Monash Partners Comprehensive Cancer Consortium (MPCCC) have joined forced to form the Victorian COVID-19 Cancer Network (VCCN), which aims to empower health professionals to support one another to deliver optimal care for patients with cancer during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Current circumstances raise critical clinical questions and challenges for health professionals in a time of significantly increased pressure and uncertainty. Patients are also confronted with fears for their increased vulnerability to COVID-19, which may profoundly affect their treatment if not managed appropriately.

In the first 3 weeks since the VCCCN was launched, 512 cancer health professionals from many different disciplines and regions have registered to join. Representation from MPCCC partners is low, however, as demonstrated by the pie chart below.

I would greatly appreciate it if you could please share this opportunity with your networks, via newsletters, your website, and/or social media, to encourage health professionals from your organisation to join.

More information and a link to REGISTER can be found HERE.

MPCCC has launched social media to stay in better contact with our stakeholders at this critical time, and I would greatly appreciate it if you could please follow us on LinkedIn and Twitter to support our efforts.

Together with Cancer Council Victoria and the VCCC alliance, we will shortly be rolling out the #StayHomeForCancer campaign, which will include some short videos of cancer health professionals talking about the importance of continuing cancer treatment over the coming months, and providing information about the measures the cancer workforce is taking to protect patients.
