Phase 1 of MIME Seed Funding applications now open – Practical solutions for frontline clinical problems

Applications for the 2022 round of MIME Seed Funding are now open!

Monash Partners Academic Health Science Centre in partnership with the Monash Institute of Medical Engineering (MIME) are seeking clinicians of all disciplines to realise unmet clinical needs and work in partnership with IT/digital health, engineering and art/design researchers to discover new medical technologies.

Applications may request up to $50,000 per project.

A Virtual Affinity Meeting will be held on April 1 where clinicians are able to present their proposal for funding. Researchers/clinicians not presenting are welcome and strongly encouraged to attend to learn about new project ideas and form collaborations.

Successful past applicants are invited to apply again, including for top up funding to extend previously funded projects (Top-up applicants need only apply at Phase 2, but are welcome to present at the Affinity Meeting). Previously unsuccessful applications can also be resubmitted for consideration.

Application forms and further information can be found at .

Applications close Monday 9 May.
