From the Director: Outcome Health welcomed as Associate Partner

Monash Partners is pleased to welcome Outcome Health as an Associate Partner.

This new partnership creates strategic opportunities for greater primary care engagement and expanded research and healthcare improvement collaboration.

Engaging, integrating and supporting primary care is a priority for Monash Partners as almost 85% of Australians see a GP annually, representing the single largest interaction with the healthcare system.

Outcome Health is the predominant data custodian for primary care data in eastern and south-east Melbourne, providing opportunities to strengthen data integration between primary and tertiary care and improve patient experience and health outcomes.

Outcome Health joins current Partners Alfred Health, Monash Health, Monash University, Cabrini Health, Epworth HealthCare, Eastern Health, Peninsula Health, Burnet Institute, Hudson Institute and Baker Heart and Diabetes Institute, and Associate Partners La Trobe University and Latrobe Regional Hospital.

In other news, Monash Partners recently held an in-person workshop, supported by the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC), to inform Review of the National Statement on Consumer and Community Involvement. A further online workshop will be held on Thursday 18 April where consumers and community members, researchers, research organisations and funders will have the chance to have their say regarding the involvement of consumers in health and medical research. I encourage all to take up this unique opportunity and ensure your voice is heard.

We look forward to bringing you an update on the outcome of these workshops.
